These felt surprisingly sturdy when I snapped them onto our mismatched knobs, and the 6-inch reach was exactly what we needed for the wide pantry doors. They slide open easily enough for an adult but stay put against a toddler's tug.

I was worried the U-shaped ends wouldn't fit our chunky knobs, but they slide right on and hold the doors tight up to 6 inches apart.
