The lever to release and lock it is smooth enough for one hand, which I appreciate when carrying my toddler. It covers a wide doorway easily and feels sturdy, though I still make sure the tension knobs are snug. For the price, it’s done exactly what we needed without fuss.
Installation took me under ten minutes with no help, and the gate feels solid enough that our toddler hasn't budged it once. I love that it stretches to cover our wide living room entry without any wobble, and it's light enough for me to move between doorways solo.
Our hallway opening is over 40 inches, so finding a gate that actually fits without a ton of extra hardware was a win.
